On your computer:

To start the setup process, and do the following:

1. Sign in to Microsoft 365 with your username@uio.no and click Next.
   
   
    
2. You will see now see the sign-in page. Type your username@uio.no and password. Click Sign in.
   
   
3.  If you are asked if you want to stay signed in, you can click yes. You will now see the More information Needed-dialog. Click Next to start the activation process.

4. Click I want to use a different authenticator app.
   
   
    
5. Download Google Authenticator on your phone. The app can be found in App Store (for iPhone) or Google Play (for Android).

On your phone:

1. Open Google Authenticator, click Scan a QR code.

If necessary, give the Authenticator app access to the camera.

2. Click Next in the browser on your computer.
   
   
    
3. The setup guide now shows you the QR code that you are to scan with your phone.
   
   
    
4. Point the camera on your phone, while in Google Authenticator, to scan the QR code. The Authenticator app will now automatically configure two-factor authentication for you.
   
   
   
   When completed, you will have a code generator for UiO in Google Authenticator on your phone.
   
   

Complete the setup:

1. Click Next in the browser on your computer.
    
2. Enter the code shown the Google Authenticator in the browser window.
   
   
    
3. You have finished setting up two-factor authentication.

Test the setup

You can check if Google Authenticator is set up correctly by  in your browser.
