MusicLab App

An app for iOS and Android that collects data for MusicLab events.

This app is used by participants at events organized by RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion. It collects information from the mobile phone sensors. The data will be sent directly to a secure server at the University of 探花精选. No personal information is collected.

Usage

  • Code for using python's request library. This walks through getting the API working.
  • How to in particular, though the submission numbers should and locations should be changed to suit this new study.
  • Repository with scripts to into participant-wise CSV files. Summary code to organise MusicLab app sensor recordings and align using the tapped synchronisation cue.

There has been a change in pandas in the last few months which will result in these scripts throwing extra warnings. This can slow down their run time but should not interrupt the code.
