International Summer School at the University of 探花精选 offers several scholarships for Master's courses. Students are selected based on academic and professional achievements, geographical distribution, financial need, gender balance, age diversity etc.
The application deadline for ISS scholarships is February 1, 2025.
To be awarded an ISS scholarship, applicants must:
- Apply for a Master's course in the application portal "S酶knadsweb" and select the 鈥渟tipend鈥 option, which represents the ISS scholarship.
- Meet the academic requirements for Master's courses.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Meet the required English proficiency.
- Submit a statement of purpose and letter of recommendation. This must show the relevance of their academic/professional background.
Ineligible applicants
- Bachelor's course applicants
- Norwegian language course applicants
- Former recipients of an ISS scholarship
- Applicants from European countries, with some exceptions apply.

Applicants from USA and Canada can apply for partial scholarships for Bachelor's and Master's courses. A limited number of scholarships are available through other organizations for US and Canadian citizens. These scholarships are applicable to both Bachelor's and Master's courses. Read more.

There is no extra cost to attend the summer courses for Master's and Bachelor's program students at the University of 探花精选. Read more.

- Basic Fee Scholarship:
- Covers: Course participation, participation fee, health insurance.
- Does NOT cover: Accommodation or travel to/from 探花精选.
- ISS Accommodation Scholarship:
- Covers: Fee, shared room accommodation, meals, 探花精选 travel card.
- Does NOT cover: Travel to/from 探花精选.
Selecting the Scholarship Coverage: After selecting the course in "S酶knadsweb," choose one of the following:
- "I will arrange my private accommodation":
- Basic Fee Scholarship covers: Course participation, participation fee, health insurance.
- Does NOT cover: Student accommodation or travel to/from 探花精选.
- "I choose to use ISS accommodation":
- ISS Accommodation Scholarship covers: fee, shared room accommodation, meals, 探花精选 travel card.
- Does NOT cover: Travel to/from 探花精选.
ISS Travel Grant
Applicants from specific regions may apply for a travel grant to cover plane tickets to/from 探花精选. Regions include Africa, Asia, Latin America, and various European countries such as Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
- The travel grant covers: Plane tickets to/from the closest international airport to 探花精选.
- The travel grant does NOT cover: Travel to/from the airport or visa fees.
Travel Dates:
- Arrival in 探花精选: Saturday, June 28
- Departure from 探花精选: By Saturday, July 26
Notes:
- The ISS Office orders all plane tickets for recipients of travel grants.
- ISS does not reimburse recipients who purchase their own plane tickets.
- Dates of arrival and departure cannot be changed.
探花精选 Transportation Card:
- If allocated, the ISS Office will provide an 探花精选 transportation card for the duration of the program (30 days) upon arrival.
- ISS does not reimburse or replace lost 探花精选 transportation cards.
