Her poster, based off of her master's thesis at the center for Technology, Innovation and Culture, was titled "Clearing skies for take-off: A qualitative case study of new interactions between energy systems and aviation in transition."

Explaining her work, Tuva said:

"The master's thesis studies the formation of new energy value chains for the introduction of low- and zero-emission technologies to decarbonise aviation. A qualitative case study of the Norwegian aviation system was conducted to study new multi-system interactions between aviation and several energy systems. I analysed barriers and drivers for new system couplings and how central actors seek to facilitate the formation of these couplings."

Her supervisors were Tuukka M盲kitie, Associate Professor at the TIK Centre and Research Scientist at SINTEF, and Hilde Nykamp, Postdoctoral Researcher at the TIK Centre.

Background

We invited master鈥檚 students, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers to present their research in posters and compete for the Best Poster Prize, voted by the conference's attendees.

In total, nine contestants showcased their research within one or more of UiO:Energy and Environment鈥檚 main research areas. Throughout the event, the contestants actively engaged with attendees, pitching their projects, answering questions, and expanding their professional networks.

The competition incited a lot of engagement, with over 290 votes to decide which contestant would be the lucky winner of two interrail tickets.

Contestants:

  • , PhD, University of 探花精选: "Modeling and Control of PEM Water Electrolyzer Systems."
  • , PostDoc, University of 探花精选: "Mapping the Electric Vehicle Battery Value Chain in Norway."
  • , PhD, University of 探花精选: "Curiosity and controversy within new fields of agricultural knowledge."
  • , Master's Student, University of 探花精选: "Examining Dilemmas of Upcycling through the Case of South Korea"
  • , PhD, University of 探花精选: "Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction with a Cu metal organic framework."
