John Richardson听is professor and chair of musicology at the University of Turku in Finland. He has published widely in the fields of popular music, audiovisual aesthetics, and music in the Nordic region. His published work听includes听the monograph,听An Eye for Music: Popular Music and the Audiovisual Surreal听(Oxford University Press, 2011); and the article collections,听The Oxford Handbook of New Audiovisual Aesthetics听(eds. John Richardson, Claudia Gorbman & Carol Vernallis, 2013) and听The Oxford Handbook of Sound and Image in Digital Media听(eds. Carol Vernallis, Amy Herzog & John Richardson, 2013).
